The Black Deer Lodge

We had a great stay and were lucky to experience the start of the winter season with 30 cm of snow and skiing on the smaller slope at Rättviksbacken and the bigger ski area Romme Alpin. We found at least 5 ski area's within a driving distance between 30 minutes and little over an hour. House is cosy and has an easy to use fireplace.

Beautiful property in a lovely area managed by a very helpful and professional team. Positive: Beautiful clean property, everything felt very new. Negative: Bedrooms are very small, more suited for single use. I’d also like to mention that for 8 people really the pots and pans should be larger. Challenging when cooking for so many people.

We had an amazing stay. Even though the weather was a bit rainy we had nice walks to the forest and lake. We went to Mora, Rattvik and Leksand and played board games in the evening!

Wonderful stay in a clean, modern warm house Positive: We loved this house. It was nice and clean with a warm, modern feel and two bathrooms. The beds were comfortable, with no shortage of pillows. The location is perfect, right next to the forest and only a short walk (about 500m) from the lake. The outdoor sauna was an especially wonderful feature! Negative: Not applicable, everything was great, we had a wonderful stay!

It's a beautiful and new house, well suited for 2 to 8 people. The house is clean and comfortable and has an outdoor hot tub and sauna. We were lucky to enjoy the great weather, the lake, and the nice surroundings! There's lots to do in the area; we are definitely coming back!
